  Darvin Ham Blasts Lakers After Uninspired Loss to Nets: ‘It’s Over for Excuses’ The  Los Angeles Lakers  suffered another tough loss on Friday night, falling to the  Brooklyn Nets , 130–112 at home. The Lakers led the Nets by six at halftime but collapsed in the second half, when Brooklyn outscored them, 68–44. Los Angeles coach Darvin Ham has been facing scrutiny this season, and he expressed his frustration with yet another brutal loss after the game. “That first half is what we’re working toward … and then the inconsistency showed up and reared its head in the second half,” Ham told reporters. “We have to decide which team we’re gonna be.” Then, Ham punctuated his comments by demanding action instead of just words from his players. “It’s over for the excuses,” Ham added. “We got to play basketball.” The Nets bench outscored the Lakers bench, 59–23, including a game-high 33 points from guard Cam Thomas. “You show it on film and address it with the group,” Ham said of his team’s col

Princess of Wales has planned abdominal surgery



The Princess of Wales has had planned abdominal surgery at a private hospital in London, Kensington Palace has said.


The operation on Tuesday was successful and Catherine will remain in hospital for ten to 14 days, the palace said.

The palace said the princess, 42, wishes to apologise for postponing upcoming engagements.

"Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter," a statement said.

In the statement issued on Wednesday afternoon, Kensington Palace said: "Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery.

"The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery."

The palace added that the princess is aware of the interest her surgery will generate and hopes the public "will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible".

The London Clinic, near Regent's Park in central London, describes itself as the UK's largest independent private hospital.

The MLC Is Auditing Streaming Services for the First Time The audits are intended to ensure the accuracy of reported and paid royalties beyond the measures already taken by the MLC. The Mechanical Licensing Collective ( the MLC ) has issued notices of intent to audit all digital service providers (DSPs) that operate under the compulsory blanket license administered by the MLC since its inception in 2021.
